桥是凝固的历史。桥上的每一道拱形，每一处雕刻，每一块石头，每一道缝隙，每一处青苔里，承载着历史的厚重，彰显着文化的精髓。

Bridge, as a concrete form of civilization, bears and highlights the essence of history and culture with each of its arch and every carving on its stones, and even in every bit of moss among its gaps.

千年古镇，韵味西兴。西兴古镇的桥，是这座古镇遗存千年的印记。

In Xixing Ancient Town, bridges are the milestones of this charming town through its history of thousands of years.

古镇原有桥梁47座，加起来总长达497.5米。这些古老而又风雅的古桥在时代的变迁中仅有数座留存，坐落在西兴街东日船埠头北侧，横跨后河的“古资福桥”就是其中的一座。古资福桥建于明代，因桥西原来有座吴越古资福寺而得名。

There used to be 47 bridges in the ancient town with a total length of 497.5 meters. However, only a few have survived the changes of the times and kept standing. And the ancient Zifu Bridge on the north side of Dongri Port upon the Houhe River on Xixing Street is one of them. Built in the Ming Dynasty, the ancient Zifu Bridge got its name because of the ancient Zifu Temple to its west which dates back to the Wu and Yue Dynasty.

船夫们在桥头停泊，等待着过往的客人；文人则站在桥上，目送着河水东去。他们或许会在桥上歇息片刻，抿一口茶水。而今天，人们站在同样的桥上，品味着这座桥的故事和传说。

Boatmen crowded under the bridge waiting for passing guests, while literati stood on the bridge watching the water surging eastward. Both might have taken a short break on this bridge for a sip of tea. And today, on the same bridge stand various visitors, savoring the stories and legends of the bridge.

在西兴古镇，屋子桥与仓桥同样是历史悠久的古桥。屋子桥俯瞰着两旁的民居，曾是商贾云集的交易场所，如今则静静地躺在小巷里，向人们诉说着过去的繁荣。

In Xixing Ancient Town, Wuzi Bridge and Cangqiao Bridge are also ancient bridges with long histories. The residential buildings on both sides of Wuzi Bridge used to be trading places with hustles and bustles. But now, they lie quietly along the alley, recalling the prosperity of the past.

荚竹山桥是山一社区竹山河上的一座平铺孔石桥。桥长10米，面宽2米，桥墩嵌有2块碑铭，一块镌“明嘉靖甲子（1564）六月建”，另一块刻“清道光庚子（1840）重修”。虽历经岁月沧桑，但它保持着明代的风格，除了桥墩条石叠砌有些错位外，整体基本完好。

Jiazhushan Bridge is a paved stone bridge on Zhushan River in Jiangyi community. The bridge is 10 meters long and 2 meters wide, with two inscriptions embedded on its piers, one engraved “Built in June in Ming Jiajing Jiazi (1564)”, the other engraved “Rebuilt in Qing Daoguang Gengzi (1840)”. After continual historical transition, the bridge maintains a style of the Ming Dynasty and keeps an intact shape except for some minor dislocation of the pier stones.

长河古镇的财神桥，是这座古镇绵延过往记忆的节点。

The God of Wealth Bridge in Changhe Ancient Town is a typical node of the past memory.

财神桥的西侧，原先有一家理发店。长河最早期的共产党员来耀先就在这里以剃头为生。他借理发店为掩护，秘密开展地下工作，组建长河农民协会，点燃了第一把红色火种。

On the west side of the God of Wealth Bridge, there used to be a barber shop. Lai Yaoxian, one of the earliest CPC members of Changhe, made his living of shaving here. Under the cover of the barber shop, he carried out secret revolution work and established the farmers’ association in Changhe which lit the first fire of revolution.

这些古桥像一道道千年石阶，连接着过去与未来。它们渗透到每个人的血液中，形成了一种独特的文化认同感，让人们更加珍惜这些历史遗产。

Like an ancient passage, the bridges link the past and the future. They permeate into everyone’s blood, arising a unique sense of cultural agreement which makes people cherish this historical heritage more.

除了古桥，在滨江还有4座跨江大桥——钱塘江大桥、西兴大桥、复兴大桥与之江大桥。作为城市交通的重要枢纽，四座桥不仅串起了南北两岸，也在滨江发展腾飞的过程中发挥了极为重要的作用。

In addition to the ancient bridges, there are four bridges across the Qiantang River in Binjiang —— Qiantang River Bridge, Xixing Bridge, Fuxing Bridge and Zhijiang Bridge. As important hubs of urban transportation, these four Bridges not only connect the north and south banks, but also play an extremely important role in the development of Binjiang.

落日西斜，跨江桥上总会挂上一抹橘红色的余晖，仿佛一条金色的长带拉向远方，让人陶醉其中。夜幕降临，灯光闪耀，在西兴大桥还能偶遇一场灯光秀。

As the sun descends, the cross-river bridge will be dyed orange by the afterglow, like a fascinating golden belt stretching afar. When night comes and lights are on, people may even come across a light show in the Xixing Bridge.

饮马桥

河道蜿蜒穿梭，与桥梁相辉映，它们构成了滨江的一方水土，彰显出滨江的灵动和韵味。饮马桥、动漫桥、映秋桥……白马湖畔，九座景观石桥婉约静谧，江南韵味呼之欲出。

River winds with bridges crossing upon, echoing with each other and presenting a beautiful landscape in Binjiang, which highlights the vitality and charm of the place. Yinma Bridge, Animation Bridge, Yingqiu Bridge... around the White Horse Lake, there are nine graceful landscape stone bridges, showing the charm of regions south of the Yangtze River.

Every bridge here has its own temperament and story. These ancient bridges have witnessed the prosperity and vicissitudes of Binjiang and have become an important part of the city’s cultural heritage. The modern bridge is not only a symbol of the innovation and development of Binjiang, but also of people’s yearning for and pursuit of a better life in the future.
