英语 familiar to 和 familiar with 的区别

英语中，familiar to 和 familiar with 是两个相近的词组，都有“熟悉”的意思，但是他们用法却有很大的不同，今天我们一起来学习一下。
1. familiar to：这个词组的意思是“（某事物）对（某人）来说是熟悉的”。主语一般是事物，to 后一般接人。
例句1：The importance of health care in this debate is familiar to most of our readers.
我们的大多数读者都熟悉这场辩论中医疗保健的重要性。
例句2：The brands he controls are already quite familiar to consumers around the world.
他控制的品牌已经为世界各地的消费者所熟知。
例句3：The smell is very familiar to everyone who lives near a bakery.

2. familiar with：这个词组的意思是“（某人）对（某人或某事物）熟悉”，主语一般是人，with 后可接人也可接物。

例句5：Most people are familiar with this figure from the film.
多数人对电影中的这个人物是熟悉的。
例句6：Our aim is to allow Tom to become familiar with the classroom.
