是“帮助”的意思，
那么问题来了，
你知道 I can't help it 是什么意思吗？
如果翻译成“我帮不了忙，我帮不了它”
可就大错特错啦~
在解释这个表达之前，我们先来看看这句话中，最重要的一个词：help
当看到 help，小伙伴们脑中的第一反应，肯定都会是“帮助”；
在剑桥词典中，它的释义为:
to make it possible or easier for someone to do something, by doing part of the work yourself or by providing advice, money, support, etc.
尽可能地帮助别人，为别人提供工作、需要的建议、金钱和支持等...
如：
How can I help you?
我该如何帮助你呢？
can I help you?
你需要帮助吗？
Thanks very much for your help.
非常感谢你的帮助。
He has helped to raise a lot of money.
他帮着筹到了很多钱。
此外，在美式英语中，“help”还有“佣人，帮佣”的意思。
The help didn’t come this morning.

help 在表“帮助，帮忙”之意时，是作动词的用法；
但是你知道吗？help 还可以用作形容词，表示“情不自禁的，忍不住的”。
如：
I can't help thinking this is a complete waste of time.
我忍不住在想，这完全是在浪费时间。
I can't help but wonder how he is doing.
我忍不住琢磨他怎么样了。
这里，我们可以看到：
在“I can’t help it”中，“help”用作形容词，被“can’t”所修饰。
这里，涉及到一个小小的语法知识：
can，是情态动词；而can't，则是其否定形式，后面通常接动词原形。
而can’t/couldn't help，是一个固定搭配，表示“忍不住做某事”。
再来看“can’t help”在英文词典中的释义：
to not be able to control or stop something.
不能控制或者停止某些事情。
所以，“I can’t help it”表示的是“我忍不住了，我情不自禁”，而不是“我不能帮忙”。
如：
I can not help laughing.
我实在不能忍住笑。
I can not help thinking.
我不能忍住思考。
I can't help but love you.
我还是情不自禁地爱着你。

“can’t help to do”和“can’t help doing”的区别。
首先，“can’t help to do”是指“不能帮助做某事”；
如：
I can’t help to do the housework because I am busy doing my homework.
我不能帮忙做家务，因为我忙于做家庭作业。
而“can’t help doing”则是“忍不住做某事，情不自禁做某事”。
如：
He can’t help laughing when he hears the joke.
