Maybe/perhaps/possibly/probably 的辨析

Maybe,perhaps,possibly,probably四个词都有“或许；可能”，都是副词，但是用法上有区别。
maybe可能；也许(表示可能性不大)三个词更为随便，比其他；也可以表示委婉的建议或要求。
He didn't feel well,maybe he got a cold.他觉得不舒服，也许是感冒了。
The doctor thinks maybe he had better have a small operation.医生认为也许他最好做个小手术。
perhaps=maybe，可与maybe换用，但比maybe正式。它可以表示建议或要求，也可以表示以礼貌的方式命令。和maybe一样，一般都用于句首。
Perhaps/Maybe they wouldn't like us to come.
也许他们不想让我们来。
Perhaps/Maybe you will kindly give us a hand .
也许你会善意地帮我们。
possible可能地；或许；也许(可能性较大)。It may possibly be true．也许是真的。
用于否定句和疑问句时，意为“无论如何”
I couldn't possibly finish the work in such short time.
无论如何，我不能在这么短时间完成这样的工作。
I can't possibly drink any more.
我无论如何不能再喝了。
probably“很可能；大概”，强调有根据，合乎情理的推测，(四个词中可能性最大，常用于肯定句)
She probably won’t come here．
她大概不会来这里
John probably told his father all about the matter.
约翰很可能把这一切都告诉了他父亲。
